Doug Sohn--how it all got started
More about Success After Success
If you’re in your sixties, I have a question for you. How do you feel about your life? I had a moment of clarity in my 67th year. I had spent 40 years studying the best experts in personal development and applying that knowledge to my life. I was fortunate enough to build a successful law practice, a successful 40-year marriage with six children, start several successful businesses and become a self-trained inventor with a patent on a space technology. But what I didn’t realize was that I had reached a plateau somewhere in my sixties, and I didn’t realize that until I found myself lying in a hospital bed, in a room full of doctors and nurses, as I had my fourth mini-stroke in 24 hours. Fortunately, I recovered fully, but it sure caused me to stop and take a look at my life. Have you done that? Had a moment when you stopped and looked at your 60-year old life through the eyes of your 20-year-old self and realized that you hadn’t become the person you dreamed of, weren’t living the life you dreamed of? When that happened me, I swore to myself that I was going to kick myself off that plateau, recommit to applying all that I had learned, plus the latest in human potential development science. And that’s what I’ve done, and I also started a new career, at age 67, of sharing that knowledge and experience with you.
